And that went fast!!

Last time we posted it was early February and I couldn't believe it! and Now here we are Almost done with March!!

In the last few weeks we've been hiking, went camping in a yurt, found a bucket full of obsidian, checked out some lava rock, played in the snow, and signed up to change charter schools for next year...so yes it's been busy!

big waterfall is from our hike at Silver falls, Snow pictures are from our camping trip to Bend, Oregon. Our first time staying in a yurt and during winter no less! The website says sleeps 8 but we barely slept 7! We visited Glass Butte, Oregon and picked up a bunch of obsidian, saw fresh signs of a bear, walked in the old mill district of Bend, and headed home. 4 days and 3 nights in Bend with friends and had a ball. Next time we might even let Dad come! The girls discovered hiking in snow might be fun and want to give snowshoeing and snowboarding a try.

Dominic is looking at starting kindergarten in the fall, and I checked about signing him up. They weren't open for new enrollments yet and said that they fill up fast so get it in as soon as it came available. So I looked around a little and got Dominic signed up with another charter and the more I looked at it, the more I thought it might work better for ALL the kids. Kaitlyn is moving into middle school and didn't want to end up doing everything online and wanted more choice to do text OR online, or even a combination of the two. Since our normal routine was going to change anyway I figured now was just as good a time to start changing things completely. So starting in September the kids are all in a new homeschool charter. The kids are already excited to see what next year might bring..along with some idea's for classes they want to take online.

Right now I have to do MY homework and get all their materials written down for the new charter with what they will be working on, what materials I already have and what materials I'll need from them. It also means looking and seeing where Dominic is currently and what I want to do with him for next year. All in All we are all excited about the new possibilities.
